It’s Time to Change Your Story. Part 4

You’ll definitely want to watch Mother’s insightful and powerful conclusion to Her 4 part series on our stories and how they define our lives. If you’re feeling ready to change your story, this is the video for you. I will say that the technique Mother is offering absolutely works! I’ve done it, and others have also done it and shared with me the profound shift it afforded them, not just in the immediate story they were trying to rewrite, but their whole lives. At first, I found it both wondrous and unsettling to look myself in the eyes and address myself in the 3rd person. And yet after only a few times, I found it deeply effective.

I look in the mirror all the time to brush my teeth, wash my face, check my clothing, and look in my eyes if I think there is something in them that is irritating them, but rarely, if ever, did I look deeply into my eyes the way I would someone I loved and cared about. This one exercise has done wonders for my self-esteem. I find that my love and desire to care for myself is steadily growing organically. And as a result, I feel better and more available to love and care for others. I believe this little gem of an exercise, that only takes me less than a minute to do, is helping me to mature emotionally and spiritually so that I can feel that equality to all humans in my self-worth and value as an individual. I highly recommend you try this. I admit the 30-day challenge Mother put on it is new to me and not something I’ve done but I’m super excited to try it and see what happens.

Are you with me? If so let me know in the comments below and let’s do this together!

Much love to you,

  1. Thank you for this video series! I have spent decades striving to rewrite my childhood story. This 4-part exercise has reinforced what I discovered some years ago: that love is an inside job. Years ago I made a commitment to love myself when I realized I had low self-esteem and deep, inexplicable self-hatred, and my life was an absolute mess. Step by step, choice by choice, I started to listen to myself when others ignored me, validate myself when others ridiculed and mocked me, meet my own needs when I was told my needs don’t matter, and treat myself well when I was trained to believe that I did not deserve to be. Over time, I have expanded in joy, peace, love, inner strength, stability, and contentment. The process has truly been transformational. Thank you for reinforcing what I somehow stumbled upon instinctively.

We truly have the power to release ourselves from chronic pain and suffering when we choose self-love. It’s the best choice I ever made!

    1. Thank you so much Jill! What a beautiful story you’ve written for yourself. It can be tough sometimes to believe that love really is the answer, and yet it is every time. 💗💗💗
